Episode 13: Compete or Complete

Who doesn't enjoy some friendly competition? What if we were to tell you that the next step in competing, is taking what you learned and using that to complete someone else?

The best part of competition is that through it, we discover what we're capable of. We discover how much more we can actually do and accomplish than we ever even believed was possible. Moving forward in life, a mission statement is important. Without a mission statement and something to work towards, what are you fighting for? Compare yourself only to who you were yesterday. Be your own competition. Once you accomplish your mission, the next step is to assist and help other people accomplish theirs. Zig Ziglar says it best: "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

Episode 12: Dependency

Dependency on others for your own well being is a foolish thing to do. Being dependent on someone or something kills your ability to move forward in life. Taking responsibility and holding yourself accountable separates you from everyone else. It is important to remember that you want to be dependable, not dependent. Your future depends on what you you do today and letting someone else determine your future because you're dependent, does nothing more than set you up for failure. Self reliance is the only road to true freedom and being dependent on yourself is the ultimate reward.

Episode 11: Energy & Enthusiasm for Your Life

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. You can't create experience, you need to undergo it; and a lot of times, experience is the hardest kind of teacher. Learning how to take your "problems" and turn them into "challenges" is a key that will set you apart from others. You will never be given a challenge you cannot face and once you overcome that challenge and learn, a bigger challenge will be handed to you. So be brave. Be bold. Take risks. Nothing can substitute the amount of knowledge you gain from the experience of overcoming an obstacle.

Episode 10: A Trick on Your Mind

When you fail, you're building heart. When you're succeeding, you're building your ego. Failure is not the opposite of success; it's part of success. The bigger the failure, the greater the lesson, and the lesson you take from it only helps you excel further. Learning to accept failure as a tool will allow you to achieve great things! Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat. He who pays the biggest price, wins the race of life.

Randy and Ralph discuss opportunity within their business' and how they can add value to each other and grow. Taking Ralph from the 9-5 and assisting Randy on his next journey in life seems like an opportunity of a lifetime. Two creatives, in a room, discussing their future and how failure will be overcome, is what makes this episode a strong and power lesson to all: Jump, and build the ground to land on.
